Hello

Hello, I'm Rose, and this is my first official blog. Well, I've had a MySpace blog for a while, but I decided I wanted to branch out to maybe a bigger audience. Sort of expose my weirdness to more peeps! I feel very high tech! But it make take a little while for me to figure out this site.

So who is Rose? Well, I'm 39 years old. I'm single. I live with my two cats - Sophie and Gizmo. They are siblings that were rescued by a woman I used to work with. I'd always wanted cats, so I jumped at the opportunity to adopt. If I had named them, though, I would have named them Sam and Ella. I've just always found that funny. :)

I am a Paralegal/Secretary at a law firm in Evansville, Indiana. In October, I'll have been there 8 years. I've been a paralegal for going on 18 years. I enjoy it. I always wanted to be a lawyer after I started reading Perry Mason books. I got a paralegal degree for my undergrad degree with the idea that it would give me a taste of lawyer-dom, and if I didn't want to proceed, I'd be able to do this. As it turned out, after working with lawyers for a while, I decided I didn't want to be a lawyer. Too much responsibility and pressure. I enjoy leaving work at 5pm and being able to forget about it entirely until the next morning.

I'm the baby of the family. I have two sisters (twins) who are 7 years older than me, so really, I'm an eclectic mixture of the baby and an only child. Of course I tell my parents frequently that the Lord blessed them with me, the perfect child, as a reward for making it thru the nightmare of raising my sisters! Ha! Oh, my parents adopted a gnome a few years ago when they retired. His name is Gnarley, and he likes to go travel with them. It's fun to travel with him. The looks that we get when we cart him around for photo ops are precious.

In addition to the cats, I currently have three fishies: Whiskers, an albino catfish - he's an old man... about five years old. Then there's Snowflake, he's a algea eater. I'm sure he has a breed or something, but I don't know what it is. Then there's the guppy, Archie - originally, I thought he was a Veronica, but turns out I wasn't right. I'm not that great at telling with fishies.

Well, that's me in a nutshell. You'll learn more later.
