I've been buying a few sweaters to spice up my wardrobe this fall - shopping mostly from the Lane Bryant website.  I'm quite pleased about all my purchases.  Well, mostly.... therein lies a story....

This sweater, per the website, came in this pretty wine/black color or in black with white stripes.  I waffled about whether to just get the wine one, or also get it in black.  My motto (one of many, I know) always being that if I find something I like, I get it in all colors!  But I decided to just get the wine one.

So a few days later, my purchases arrive.  Only... I ordered the wine sweater (the invoice confirms it), but they sent me the black one.  But that's okay.  Much like when I order sweet tea and the waiter accidentally brings me unsweet, I assume it's meant to be and go with the flow.  In the case of the sweater, since I'd been waffling about getting both, I took this as a sign that I should get both and proceeded to get online and order the wine sweater.

About a week later, my sweater arrives and I'm all excited!!  Except... you guessed it, it's the black sweater. I again looked at the invoice and it clearly says "wine sweater."  I went online to make sure there actually was a wine version, and now the website clearly shows that it only comes in black.

At some point, I hit the mall and went to the Lane Bryant store to return it.  I explained that I'd received the black sweater twice after both times having ordered the wine version.  They couldn't explain, even pulled it up on their computers.  One of the ladies suggested that it was so popular, they had to pull them so there would be enough left for Black Friday.  I took my gift card containing the refund and trotted home not giving it much more thought.

In December, I happened to fly past the LB website again and found the wine sweater.  Thinking that they must have some left over from Black Friday, I ordered one!  I was very excited.

Yep, you guessed it, when it arrived, it was (let's all say it together now) the BLACK SWEATER!  Argh!  What is it... the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. 

I've returned the third sweater and sworn off it.  I don't know if I'd buy the wine sweater if I found it in the store!

So, what to my wondering eyes should appear in my inbox this afternoon??

They're trying to drive me mad!!!
